The fact that they are only human comes to mind. Just remember when people make mistakes they dont always do it intentionally. Politeness comes off better than attitude.

Furthermore I do know of at least one person who was banned recently because he was running a Faction Farming Bot out of Aspenwood. I feel no pity for him or people like him.
You would know I was not referring to the OP but the individual I personally know who was running the BOT program out of Aspenwood.

ANET has an excellent BOT spotting process and do kill accounts who run those programs. So my reaction to posts like these is to side with ANET.

I am glad you got your account back but it is really starting to worry me that this type of thing is happening too often. I spend a lot of time online because I am disabled and I sometimes worry that I will be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They should send you a warning message first, requiring an immediate reply and at that time determine if your account should be banned. Banning first is a bad idea IMHO.

Black hearted, its not Arena Nets fault. Its the fault of those people idiotic enough to fall for Scams and lose their accounts and the botters fault for actually farming gold. In may i think they banned.... 5000 accounts?>

birds and bees simple version for the simple...........

people make real us dollars from their bots.

many of those bot accounts are gotten by keyloggers and cost them nothing.

ANET BANS MONEY MAKING BOT ACCOUNT

CHINESE GOLD FACTORY FARMER REPLACES BLOCKED ACCOUNT WITH A FRESH ACCOUNT AND STILL BOTS.

as long as they profit from gold buyers they wll keep replacing blocked bots and you will still see bots.

is it clear nw?

NOTE YOU CAN GET UP TO 75 TOKENS PER QUEST SO IT IS NO BIGGIE TO GET THE 250 FOR MASK

If they ban you "in error" then by means of good will they ought to give you a minipet of your choice or a new char slot IMO.

Those bots make the owner money. That owner buys another account with some profit he made from using the bot after the account was banned. Bot is back. It gets banned, he buys another account from profit he made from using the bot. Bot is back. See a pattern? Arenanet regularly ban bots, but the owners make enough off using the bots to just buy another account and start all over again.

YES! Now i can go play GW. Thanks everyone.

"Shame on you Gloryfox!"
Just for future referrence, not a flame. But if the game admins ban you, a good place to start is to contact their support and not a forums. Unless you have no idea how to contact them, in which case, forums, and then we say, log in, click support button or visit play nc support.

Eerie to see you got banned wrongly. Nice to see you're back and its been dealt with.

S Gaile what about my unfair banning? You've not read your PM's and the thread Asking for you has been deleted by some mod. As usual I'm getting less then stellar service from NCSoft on this issue as I have had with other issues in the past.

Gaile is not Support, She's Community Relations. It's not her department. And these Forums aren't Support - not even connected to A-Net or NC Soft.

No one here can help you, other than to tell you what's been said over and over. Contact Support with a polite, reasonable E-mail requesting that they look into it. Keep the support ticket you recieve open until you get some sort of resolution. Do not use threats, as that will get you to the end of the road with no account quickily. (Threatening legal action will get you refered to the legal department, composed of lawyers, not people who can (or will) rescind your ban)

She may not be support itself, however she has asked people to PM her with the name of bots and has posted that she personally banned some large group of bots so she does have close interaction with the support/banning procedure.

I agree that threatening legal action would be rather foolish and I made sure I was polite in my letters to them so far.

I've spent a lot of time and money on a game that i love, and now i feel betrayed.
I'd rather Anet was being pro-active and making mistakes, then doing nothing at all. Atleast this shows their actually trying to ban accounts.

Just put tickets in and explain the mistake.

Default I just got banned!

It just happened to me! I was disconnected while playing today and the message states that I was banned for using a third-party program, which I DON'T!
I've send a ticket to plaync and Leveup! games (brazilian representatives) but no repplies so far.
I don't use bots, cheats and wasn't farming at the time of the kick.
I'm really desperate. What else could (and should) I do?!?!
